Ever Growing Fujinon Article
For photographers wanting purchase a new, or at least relatively new, lens many look no further than a Fujinon. These lenses are of extremely high quality and are still being manufacutred by Fujinon today. The problem is that they are only produced in Japan and there is no official exporter to the U.S, though there are a few places that do import them regularly. As with most lenses, unless you just have to have them brand new from the store, a lot of money can be saved purchasing them like new second hand.
If you think it's a bit hard to come by a Fujinon lens then you've probably realized it's at least ten times harder to come by accurate information concerning this companies line of lenses. It is terribly confusing and I confess, I'm still trying to figure it all out myself. Lines have been discontinued, names and suffixes have been changed while lenses remain basically the same. It can be hard to know what you're looking at or even what to look for.
I'll be updating this page with info on various Fujinon lenses as I learn about them myself. I hope it's of some use.

By far the most prolific of the Fujinon lenses seen on the market today are those appended with a W. Simply enough the W stands for "wide". (Keep in mind this is relative to the format.)
Focal length for W lenses run a pretty big gammut from 125mm to 360mm. I know for sure there are 125mm, 135mm, 150mm, 180mm, 210mm, 300mm and 360mm. Again, I'm not the best authority but this is what I've gleaned from reading around and from what I've seen. Here are a few current Fujinon W auctions:
